2007 Top Ten (1) ~ Restuarants

It has been a long time since I did up a list of Top 10, especially after my old blog is gone (I still miss it!!), so I decided to revive it back! Yeah, the end of a year always mean reflecting back of the past 12 months, and despite the highs and lows, one thing we must not stop is EATING!! 

For 2007, my taste has ‘upgraded’ for more expensive cuisine and surprisingly, Japanese food! We have seen more new restaurants and upmarket locations mushrooming this year, like Rochester One, Dempsey Hill, Mount Sophia etc, so you can’t say Singapore is not a Food Paradise now!!

Anyway, here is my Top 10 Favorite Restaurants (the top 3 always give me the 幸福的感觉）~ 

1.  Kadoman [Jap] Grand Plaza Park Hotel #01-21/11 (The Tempura is the killer dish! And I like the friendly 老板娘 for remembering me!)
2.  Ricciotti [Italian] 20 Up Circular Rd #B1-49 Singapore 058416 (The ambience and food especially the sandwich and pastries!)
3.  Shin Kushiya [Jap] Vivocity #02-120/122 (Foie Gaus!!!)
4.  PS Cafe Paragon (Prefer the Paragon branch than the other at Dempsey)
5.  Xi Yan Craig Road (It is only for reservations, the fusion food is innovative and supreme!)
6.  Royal Copenhagen Tea Lounge Ngee Ann City (Most people go for Hi-tea in the afternoon but the dinner course is wonderful too especially without the crowd at night!)
   
7.  Made in China Haw Par Villa (Fusion chinese food too, but I like the attentiveness to every detail of each dish) 
8.  Soup Spoon (Their soups are so NICE and add on the Salmon Sandwich, you are guaranteed a fulfillinf meal!!) 
9.  Wild Rocket Mount Emily (Quite hard to get seats here, but the food here is delectable)
10.  Marutama Ra-men #03-90/91 The Central @ Clarke Quay (Their Ramen and Pork Belly are so fattening and sinful, I like)
    
    

    Of course, there are a few restaurants I have tried this year like Graze @ Rochester, The French Stall @ Serangoon, Red, White & Pure and Carnivore both @ Vivocity with decent food. 

    
    

    The major disappointment this year would have to be Tung Tok be it My Humble House, Signatures or LingZhi. Totally overpriced for normal food!!

    
    
    
    

 

Dream Furniture

Yap yap, I am damn lazy to update my blog lately… So sorry… Anyway, just a quick update…

1) ROM on 20.12.2007 (so sorry, gals, I am taken!!)

2) Went back to my favorite haunt twice this school holiday ~ NUS Science Canteen!! So many memories there… And I am still more productive there…

3) Holidays ending…

Realise my life is so not exciting..Nothing much to update… But well, a new year will be coming, and there will be a lot of things to think about… like new students, marriage life and of course, our new dream home!

Well, a pity that we are almost broke so there is a limit what we can do to our house… like hacking down some walls… or buying my dream (designer) furniture…

Better make a list of my dream furniture here in case I forgot (again!) ~ but of course must find cheaper imitation…

Of course, most are simply out of reach… Haiz… Overall theme for my home? Hm, I like to be creative so no exact theme..

Probably Cosmopolitan-cum-Country Style? Haha… 

Cut, Cut, Cut!

Didn’t update for a long time… partly to see if anyone cares or bothers…

Lots of changes lately… And all very sudden till I can’t really grasp… Struggling for breathe!

Bought a new house 2 weeks ago (not dollhouse, a REAL exec Condo apartment), bought wedding band 1 week ago (clash course on the 4 C’s of diamond..), exams over for my kids (luckily still maintain the best class in Chinese… Think my students bao the Top 3 in CL for the whole school and somemore from different classes), audit for my CCA yesterday (didn’t sleep well for days)…

Yes, I am bidding my singlehood farewell soon…

Didn’t watch any movie in the cinema for almost 2 months… Caught Pleasure Factory last night… That Luo Zihan was actually my hallmate in NTU! Then saw my JC classmate in the movie too… Gosh… Quite a waste, they got a good topic but don’t know why the end product is so damn lousy! Unrealistic too… I never hear any oldies playing in Geylang before leh… probably trying to create the 花样年华 feel but backfired…

Now listening the Jay’s new album… SUCKS!!!

Everything SUCKS in my life now!!! Going broke liao…

Sorry… & Thanks!

Thanks to the few who had shown concern through MSN (or fone by the COW) during that awful period.

It’s quite sad that YY’s father passed away last week. Guess he wanted to rest in peace at home, so after we tried all means to fulfill his wishes, the last thing to do was to send him back home. He passed away peacefully after 24 hours at home…

YY and her family still trying to accept the fact that their beloved father and husband is gone…

Had been travelling to and fro school and her house… Totally broke my record of taking cab, somemore during the wee hours of 3am back home for the past 2 weeks…

But as I said to some of my friends, at least the worst is over (I hope)…

Anyway, this episode really prove that if I really die suddenly, noone will actually know… But I really get to learn about my limits and must take care of myself and YY and now, her family too…

Quite touched when her sister asked me if she can call me “Kor” on the first night of the funeral… I hope I don’t disappoint…
